কে ওখানে [Ghost stories -ss1]



|। কে ওখানে ।।

যারা ভুত বিশ্বাস করেন না এ লেখাটি তাদের জন্য নয় । কেননা এটা একটি ভুত সংক্রান্ত লেখা বা ঘটনা । যা কিনা আজো আমার কাছে জীবন্ত । এখন ও আমি মাঝ রাত্রিরে জেগে বসে থাকি ভুতের ভয়ে । ঘটনাটি ঘটেছিল আজ থেকে প্রায় ১৫ বছর আগে । কিন্তু আমার কাছে মনে হয় এইতো সেদিন ঘটলো ঘটনাটি । ঘটনাটির কথা মনে হলে হাত পা আমার এখনও ঠান্ডা হয়ে যায় ।



আমারা তখন পুরানো ঢাকাতে থাকি । বাবা সরকারি চাকুরি করেন । বলা নেই কওয়া নেই হঠাৎ করেই আমরা বড় লোক হয়ে গেলাম । তা ও বাবার এক ফুপুর কল্যাণে । বাবার বড়লোক ফুপুর মৃত্যুর পর তার বিষয় সম্পতির ছোট একটি অংশ আমাদের বড়লোক করে দিল রাতারাতি ।

আমারা ভাড়া বাসা থেকে আমরা নিজেদের বাড়ীতে উঠলাম । তাও আবার তিন তলা বাড়ী । ৬টা ভাড়াটিয়াসহ বিশাল বাড়ী । আমরা উঠেছি দোতালায় । সারা দিন ভাই বোনদের সঙ্গে আনন্দ করে সময় কাটে । বাড়ীর সামনে দু’টো বড় বড় মেহগনি গাছ । তার একটিতে ছোটকাকু দোলনা টানিয়ে দেয়াতে আমাদের আনন্দের মাত্রা বেড়ে গেছে কয়েক গুন । সারা দিন হৈই চৈই । বিকেল বেলা সবাই মিলে ছাদে খেলা করতাম । এতো বিশাল ছাদ আমি আগে কখনও কল্পনাও করতে পারতাম না তা আবার নিজেদের । ছাদ সাধারনত মা তালা দিয়ে রাখতেন । শুধু বকেল বেলায় খুলে দিতেন । সন্ধ্যার পর শুধু পড়তে বসতাম । রাতে খাওয়া দাওয়ার পর কাকুর কাছে গল্প শুনতে বসা । কাকু নিত্য নতুন ভূতের গল্প বলে আমাদের ভয় পাইয়ে দিতেন । মাঝে মাঝে মাও আমাদের সঙ্গে এসে যোগ দিতেন । গল্প শেষে মা প্রায়ই হেসে বলতেন । ভুত বলে কিছু নেই ।
 
দেখতে দেখতে আমার এস এস সি পরীক্ষা চলে এলো । ভাল রেজাল্ট করতে পারলে বাবা রেসিং সাইকেল কিনে দেবো । তাই রাত জেগে পড়া শুনা করছি । ভাল রেজাল্ট করার চাইতে আমার সাইকেলটার দিকেই বেশি মনোযোগ । বাসার সবাই ঘুমিয়ে গেলেও আমি সারা রাত জেগে পড়ি । মাঝে মাঝে ঘরের ভেতর হাটা হাটি করি । বেশি খারাপ লাগলে ছাদে চলে যাই । কাকুর ভাষ্য মতে রাতের একটি ভাষা আছে । তাছাড়া রাতের আকাশ ও আমার দেখতে খুব ভাল লাগে । বিশাল রহস্যময় আকাশের শৈল্পিক কারুকার্য আমাকে সব সময় মুগ্ধ করে ।
 
সেদিন ছিল পূণিমার রাত । রাত প্রায় তিনটা বাজে । আমি গভীর মনোযোগ দিয়ে পড়ছিলাম । বাসার সবাই ঘুম । হঠাৎ ছাদ থেকে ধুপ ধুপ শব্দ ভেসে এলো । বিকেল বেলায় আমরা ছাদে খেললে যেমনটি শব্দ হয় ঠিক তেমনটি । আমি বেশ অবাক হলাম , এতো রাতে ছাদে আবার কে খেলছে !
 
কাকু আর আমি একই রুমে থাকি । বেশ কয়েকবার শব্দ হওয়ায় কাকুকে ডাক দিলাম । কাকুর উঠার নামটি নেই । নাক ডেকে ঘুমাচ্ছে । অনেকক্ষন ডাকা ডাকি করার পরে কোন রকম মাথা তুলে বললেন তুই গিয়ে দেখনা কে ?
ইদুর টিদুর হবে হয়তো । বলে কাকু আবার নাক ডাকতে শুরু করলেন । এদিকে ছাদের শব্দ দৌড়া দৌড়ি পর্যায় পৌছে গেছে । আমি আশ্চর্য হয়ে লক্ষ করলাম আমার তেমন ভয় করছেন । বরং দেখতে ইচ্ছে করছে এতো রাতে ছাদে কে দৌড়া দৌড়ি করছে ।
 
আমাদের রান্না ঘরের দেয়ালে মা ছাদের চাবি ঝুলিয়ে রাখেন । আমি ঘর থেকে বেড় হয়ে ছাদের চাবি নিলাম । আমাদের ফ্লাট থেকে বেড় হতেই ডান দিক দিয়ে উঠে গেছে ছাদের সিঁড়ি । প্রতিটি বারান্দায় বাতি জ্বলছে । তিন তলার বারান্দা গুরে ছাদের সিঁড়ি । আমি ছাদের সিঁড়িতে উঠার পরও আমার কোন ভয় লাগছিল না । তিন তলা থেকে ছাদের ছাদের দরজা দেখা যায় । বন্ধ দরজা । তালা দেখা যাচ্ছে । তবে ছাদে শব্দ করছে কে ?
আমি ছাদের তালা খুলে ফেললাম । চাঁদের আলোয় ছাদ ভেসে যাচ্ছে । ছাদে বেড় হলেই সামনে রবিন চাচ্চুদের ৪ তলা বাড়ী । রবিন চাচ্চুদের বাসা থেকে আমাদের পুরো ছাদটা দেখা যায় ।

ছাদের এ মাথা ; ও মাথা বেশ ভাল করে দেখলাম কেউ নেই । আমি বেশ অবাক হলাম । তা হলে শব্দ করলো কে ? পানির ট্যেন্কির উপড় দেখলাম । না । কেউ নেই । এবার কিন্তু আমার গা বেশ কেমন ছমছম করছে । আশে পাশের বাড়িগুলোর দিকে বেশ কয়েকবার তাকিয়ে আমি নীচে নেমে এলাম ।

ঘরে এসে ডকডক করে দু গ্লাস পানি খেলাম । এমনিতেই আমি বারবার হিশু পায় বলে রাতেরবেলা পানি কম খাই । কিন্তু সেদিন তেস্টা যেনো আর মিটছিলো না । ২য় গ্লাস পানি শেষ করার মুর্হুতে আবার ধুপ ধুপ শব্দ ভেসে এলো । আমি গ্লেলাসটি রেখে উঠে পড়লাম । ছাদের সিঁড়িতে এসে দেখি ছাদ তালা মারই আছে । দরজা বন্ধ । কিন্তু দরজার ওপাশেই কে যেনো দৌড়াচ্ছে । আমি ভয়ে ভয়ে তালা খুলে ছাদে এলাম । আবারও চাঁদের আলোয় চোখ ভেসে গেলো । আমি পুরো ছাদ বেশ ভাল করে দেখলাম । না । কেই নেই । নিজেকে কেমন বোকাবোকা মনে হলো । নিজেকে শান্তনা দিলাম হয়তো রাত জেগে পড়ার ফলে উল্টা পাল্টা শব্দ শুনছি ।

ছাদ তালা দিয়ে নামার জন্য পেছন গুড়তেই চমকে উঠলাম । হাতের ডান পাশে সিঁড়ির শেষ মাথার ছাদের দেয়াল ঘেষে কে যেনো বসে আছে । ভয়ে আমার বুক তখন হাপারের মতো উঠা নামা করছে । আমি কোন রকম জিজ্ঞষ করলাম । কে ! কে ওখানে ? হালকা আলো স্পষ্ট দেখা যাচ্চে দু’হাটুর মাঝ খানে মাথা রেখে কে যেনো বসে আছে ।

ছোট্র শরীরটা দেখে আট দশ বছরের বাচ্চা বলে মনে হলো । আমি কানে তখন কিচ্ছু শুনছি না ।চোখেও ভাল করে দেখছি বলে মনে হলো না ।
শুধু তাকিয়ে আছি । আর জোড়ে জোড়ে চিৎকার করে জিজ্ঞেস করছি কে ! কে ওখানে ?
বেশ কয়েক বার চিৎকার করতেই সামনে বসে থাকা কায়াটা হাটু থেকে মাথা তুলে আমার দিকে তাকালো । ভয়ে আমি চমকে উঠলাম । জাপানি ভুতের সিনামায় দেখা আট নয় বছরের একটি ছেলে আমার দিকে হাটু থেকে মুখ তুলে তাকালো । বড় বড় দুটো চোখ । সমস্ত মুখ কেমন ফেকাসে হয়ে আছে ।অনেকক্ষন পানিতে ভিজলে চামড়া যেরকম ফেকাসে হয় তেমনটি ।আমি আরো জোড়ে চিৎকার করলাম কে কে ?
ছেলেটি কোন উত্তর দিলো না শুধু একটি হাত আমার দিকে বাড়িয়ে দিলো ।
আমি ভয়ে তখন কি ভাবে যে নীচে নেমে এলাম বলতে পারবো না ।
যখন চোখ খুললাম তখন দেখি আমি বিছানায় শুয়ে আছি মা ;বাবা,কাকু আর একজন ডাক্টার আমায় ঘিরে আছেন ।

বাবা কাকুকে বকছেন আমদের কেন ভুতের গল্প শুনায় তার জন্য । মা’র হাতের ফাঁক দিয়ে আমার চোখ যখন দরজার কাছে গেলো তখন আবার চমকে উঠলাম । ছাদে দেখা ছেলেটি দরজার কাছে দাঁড়িয়ে আছে । আমার চোখা চোখি হতেই । ডান হাতটি আমার দিকে বাড়িয়ে দিলো । আমি আবার জ্ঞান হারালাম ।

সে বার আমাকে অনেকদিন হাসপাতালে থাকতে হয়েছিলো । কিন্তু আশ্চযের বিষয় সে রাতের পর ঐ ছেলেটিকে আর কোনদিন দেখা যায়নি আমাদের ছাদে দেখা যায়নি। সে রাতে অবশ্য আরেকটি ঘটনা ঘটেছিল সেটি হলো আমাদের পাশের বাসার রবিন চাচ্চু মারা গিয়েছিলো । ভাল মানুষ হঠাৎ নাকি কি দেখে খুব ভয় পেয়েছিলেন । প্রিয় পাঠক এ দুটো ঘটনার মাঝে কোন মিল আছে কিনা আমি বলতে পারবনা ।
